OMG…there is so much going on that it is very hard to know what to write about today…
The on again off again tariffs that are screwing up the world’s economy
The stock market – a victim of the on again off again tariffs
The market manipulation that may be or may not be happening (I think it did and continues)
The growing list of law firms that are capitulating to the administration instead of fighting back on sure wins
The ongoing saga of deportations without charges but just for exercising free speech
The denial of continuing funding for those struggling with rebuilding after Hurricane Helene
The Executive Orders targeting two individuals for their free speech – a very chilling situation
Back to deportations – the approval for deportation because a person has been alleged to be an antisemite while we pardon J-sixers who wore shirts proudly proclaiming their antisemite bonefides
And more…and more…and…more
So, since I don’t know what to focus on today I will just leave the world of politics today to say Congratulations to my daughter for finishing as the top overall woman runner in her half-marathon today. She beat her previous half-marathon PR by over 22 minutes while finishing 4th overall – men and women. (Yes…she competed against men too and kicked their butts!) I am very proud of her. She started running somewhat seriously last year and became very serious in the last six months. (I think she is highly inspired by her uncle’s wife who is a big-time runner – Boston Finisher – and has encouraged my daughter a ton).
Getting away from the world while running was always a favorite thing for me to do. It clears your mind and is good for your body. Here’s hoping my daughter continues on her journey of running (and fulfills her Ethiopian destiny).
