Slight Adjustment

“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the results, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all”

Norman Vincent Peale

I like these words. In fact I have written a couple of posts relating to this – taking action. But today I am writing about the adjustment part, “perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow.” I am making an adjustment right now as I type. One of not double spacing after a period. I don’t remember where I learned or was told that you should double space but I have recently read, in more than a few places, that you shouldn’t do that any more.

So…I am trying to make that adjustment. (It’s hard!)

I am also going to make an adjustment to this blog. I sort of started out for this blog to be more of a leadership type blog. If you go back to my previous blog at blogspot it was all in that leadership vein. I have written about other things on this blog, especially during the summer of George Floyd but I had also intended it to be slanted toward leadership. I am now going to adjust to it being more of a “whatever comes to mind” blog. Some posts will undoubtedly have no meaning at all. Others may. Still others may go back to the topic of leadership or to the topic of why there are so many frogs in the pool. Who knows?

The reason for this change? Just to be able to write. I have mentioned on this blog that the best advice many writers get is to write. Write a lot. Write something everyday. Just write. I found when trying to tie everything into one topic it was hard for me to “just write.” I am guessing that to unchain myself from any set topic that I will be able to get something down everyday.

At least that’s the goal.

So I invite you all along on this journey. It’ll be…(you fill in the blank!) 🙂
