I have often thought about what I would’ve been like if I was born 50 years earlier than I was. I was born in 1963. What if I was born in 1913? What if I was born in Georgia? Would I have the same ideals, morals, ethics, values as I do now?
Or would I be a man pointing toward a tree that someone was swinging from? Would I have climbed Stone Mountain for reasons other than exercise? Would I be the kid screaming because someone that didn’t look like me was walking into my school?
It’s too scary a thought to work through. I still have a lot of work to do but I like how I am turning out.
