I have challenged myself to write something everyday. I issued that challenge about 10 days ago and in working to meet that challenge I had included tweets and other media. I am adjusting that thought process now. To meet the challenge I must write a blog entry everyday.
Some might say that this is not the way to go, that there is not a good way to sustain thoughtful, insightful posts. Well, that’s taking a large assumption that any of my posts were/are thoughtful and insightful!
By writing everyday I am setting my habits, maintaining my course, taking the action that I have advised others to take in order to get where they want to go. For some reason the old Schoolhouse Rock episode (do you call them episodes?) for “Verb” just popped into my head.
Action
That guy was like a super hero taking “action!” It was exciting and a little bit motivating even today.
Another thought just went through my head too, that of the little penguin in “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Remember when the Warlock, Kris and the penguin were singing, “One Foot in Front of the Other”? That is what writing every day is like – “putting one step in front of the other and soon you’ll be walking out the door…”
Now that I put that song in your head let’s take action and put one foot in front of the other…
